The Building Permit was issued to Crystal Terraces on September 12th by the Town of Qualicum Beach allowing construction to begin on this luxury condominium development located on one of the last pieces of oceanfront property in Qualicum Beach. Of the 250,000 sq. ft. development, only 100,000 sq. ft. is actual interior space, while the rest is a glorious explosion of green-space and terrace.
"Crystal Terraces has a wonderful range of attributes," says award winning architect Franc d'Ambrosio. "It offers exposure to light, stars, sun and sea. It makes use of traditionally designed European hillside housing, reminiscent of the French Riviera and Italian hill towns." Each suite will have virtually unobstructed 180-degree ocean views of the Strait of Georgia and Qualicum Bay. Floor to ceiling windows make full use of natural light as do the grand entryways, wide open spaces, and high ceilings. Exotic hardwood floors with in-floor Rinnai radiant heating allow each unit to "go green" in a healthy, environmentally friendly way. European-imported Eggersmann kitchens, exclusive to the most select developments, will feature Miele or Bosch appliances. Bathrooms feature waterfall showers and Kohler fixtures. The buildings will be concrete with two, five and ten year home warranty plans. In addition, Raadgevers has a special MOP program specifically designed to protect the home owner.
